"Dr. Who in America" was a 57 minute documentary for direct-to-video release, produced in 1983 by Scorpio International Ltd for the New Jersey Network (NJN). The special was hosted by Tom Carroll, and directed by James B Brandt.

The Tom Baker interview was conducted in May 1983 while the actor was attending the NADWAS convention in San Francisco.

The special was later broadcast by a few stations, such as Georgia's GPT in March 1985.
