- The serial was offered to Australia along with other serials, such as The Time Meddler, Galaxy 4 and The Myth Makers.
- It was viewed by the censors on 13 September 1966 - and rejected due to its horror content. The ABC was not able to screen it, therefore it did not make any payments to the BBC.
- Accordingly, the other countries that were buying the series at this time - Barbados, Zambia, New Zaland, Sierra Leone and Singapore - were not able to purchase the serial, as they relied on Australia to cover all the rights costs.
- Chances are even if the serial had been accepted and broadcast in Australia, the other five countries might have been denied broadcast rights rights, because the BBC had withdrawn all sales of Dalek serials during 1967.
- By the time the moratorium had been lifted, those countries had moved on to screening Troughton stories, and would not have been interested in buying an 'older' serial.
- Both Singapore and Zambia have an "extra" airdate between Gaalxy 4 and The Myth Makers - so it is remotely possible that they did screen this single episode after all...
- The BBC was still offering the serial for sale as late as 1974. If a sale had taken place, it would probably have been to Nigeria.
